Recent Media Coverage of W.S. Nielsen Company, Inc. :
Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia:
ABC of Georgia member company W.S. Nielsen Company, Inc., calls it, "Eye on the Sky" - the Westin Peachtree Hotel & Atrium Skylight Re-glazing Project. They, along with ABC of Georgia member Skanska USA Building Inc., acting as the General Contractor, are repairing the Westin's broken windows from 2008's downtown Atlanta tornado. W.S. Nielsen, one of two glazing contractors, is replacing over 750 pieces of triangular glass in the Atrium Skylight surrounding the base of the tower. No two pieces of glass are alike and each piece of existing glass in the Atrium Skylight has to be field measured, then weatherproofed and secured until the new glass is delivered. This challenging process is ongoing and will continue throughout the glass replacement project. All materials are delivered at street level and raised up the exterior of the building via mast climbing hoists and distributed to the required locations.
